My name is Maite, I am 60 years old (April 2020), I am a Primary Education teacher and I live in Fuerteventura – Canary Islands. I have taken MMS at the rate of one activated drop in the morning and one at night since March 2020. I am not infected with Covid-19, but I have cured a sinusitis that I had since May 2019 and that had not responded to antibiotic treatment. Within 3 days I started to notice it.
My name is Helena, I am 60 years old (July 2023) and I live in a town in Tarragona. For a long time I have been allergic to pollen and have had allergic asthma.
Following a query that I have been asked, I want to update the testimony that was from 2016 (many years have passed). Then I started timidly with the MMS and now instead of that precursor, I take CDS and during allergy season it is an ally. I take it daily.
La knob, at first, it was more powerful. I noticed a huge release that year, but after that it wasn't enough for me, although I continue taking it.
I went to acupuncture for two years and it helped me a lot. It just so happened that the doctor was also a homeopath and she prescribed me 7 tsp of ragweed artemisiaefolia for the pollen allergy and 15 tsp of poumon histamine for the allergic asthma.
I also took mushroom Reishi.
I continue to do nasal washes with the special jar and that helps me a lot to decongest. I do it with warm water and water with sea salt (1/2 teaspoon of mocha in 200 ml more or less) that is not too salty, since it is counterproductive because it irritates. You can do them with a syringe, but be careful not to apply pressure because if you are congested it gives you an earache that is worse.
I do conscious breathing, for example 4-6-8 (breathe in for 4, hold for 6, and exhale in 8 beats/seconds).
I continue with the herbs: knob, plantain to sleep and now I add mugwort annua. I have made tinctures of knob with DMSO (tastes awful) and with alcohol (tastes better) and I put sublingual drops. Rosa Mosqueta and cream of Marigold (fragrance-free) for atopic skin.
What bothers me most now are my eyes and eyelids, they get inflamed very easily. This year I tried the eye drops and gel prescribed by the ophthalmologist. The eye drops relieved but the gel made me allergic. Then I tried to wash my eyes with my urine and that did help (although it seems a bit dirty, you have to remember that freshly collected urine is sterile).
I have a purifier that I put in the room for 2-3 hours in the afternoon. I don't put it on at night because it's noisy.
Every spring is different, we don't know when we've got the treatments right, because it's hard to know how saturated the environment is in places where pollen levels aren't measured nearby. So on windy days I still hide and think: "Let it take away the bad and bring me the good." I think I'm missing something to do and that is to deal with the emotional side. Let's see how!
When I was a child, at the age of 12, I already had "hay fever" as they called it back then (allergy to grasses). I was vaccinated once without much success in the 70s. After adolescence, at about 18, it went away (one spring I got fed up with not enjoying it and started smelling the countryside). The fact is that at 40, it came back quite strongly. I went to an allergist and the tests came back positive for pollen, especially pellitory, also grasses, and years later also for cat fur, olive pollen, old paper dust...
The effects: they start with an unmistakable itching of the palate, mucus, congestion... itching, tearing, even a certain dullness and the only solution that the allergist gave me was antihistamines and vaccines but only for one allergen. I did 3 years of oral vaccines against parietaria with more than zero effect. I got tired and decided to try homeopathy, it helped me to fix other things but not the allergy, besides I got confused and tried to stop the medication, which is why I found something that I didn't know and by surprise: a dry cough that I attributed to a dry throat from sleeping breathing through the mouth was actually indicating asthma. I had never had asthma in my life and I was scared.
Back to the allergist: lung capacity tests and prescriptions for the asthma that I had after 1 month of allergies. And the ventolin and plumicort treatment.
My attempts to alleviate the allergy and delay its more severe discomfort have been: sleeping with a mask, showering and washing or wetting my hair frequently, being more careful on windy days, also on rainy days or when the weather changes. Taking antihistamines according to the day (I use one called "flash" that takes effect faster so it is not necessary to take it every day). This is how spring began this year, almost resigned, and a month went by in which everything began to get saturated and I had to start using the plumicort.
Until I read a post by Josep Pàmies about the ban of the plant Knob and I decided to try it. I bought the allergy mix that has Knob, Mallow, Nettle y Always alive and sheet of Knob, for the allergy part and also Plantain for the asthma part and milk thistle to detoxify a little and of course some Stevia to sweeten. I started making myself a liter of infusion with this mixture (allergies+extra of Knob+Plantain+Thyme+milk thistle+Stevia*Sometimes there are some paper bags for infusions in a supermarket called "Aldi" that are very good for making these mixtures) and drinking it during the day (freshly made at breakfast and at room temperature for the rest, although as it gets hot it has to be kept in the refrigerator or the flavor changes).
After the first week I began to forget about the tissues little by little, and for a month and a half I hardly remembered to take them. I was able to visit the greenhouse without any discomfort. I have a garden myself and this is the first spring that I can enjoy it without any "revenge". As a precaution and because I cannot stop taking corticosteroids suddenly, I extended the treatment with plumicor until June, but the dullness, the atopic skin, the watery eyes and the itching had disappeared. And my sense of smell, my sense of smell in spring had returned. It had been years since I had forgotten about that sense in spring.
However, I am not writing this testimony until now (October) because, by surprise, in August, a totally unusual time for my seasonal allergy, I have a lot of symptoms (luckily without asthma). The weather is crazy and we are going crazy, plants and people. I start with the Knob and the Pàmies preparation but it is not enough, so I suspect that a cold is complicating everything (this usually happens to allergy sufferers and the norm is white mucus/phlegm allergy, green mucus/phlegm infection). It is necessary to clean up. And I resort to the "Censored Product" (it is very effective for a cold, but I am experimenting, I do not dare to give advice to anyone about it because I know little about it, without fear but with caution there is a lot of documentation on the internet, perhaps too much). Once I've separated the cold and allergy issues, the herbal treatment is responding wonderfully again. Now, as long as there's a bit of pellitory, I have an allergy infusion for breakfast, along with some other herbs that I like, and I've had enough.
Next year I'll start taking herbal teas earlier to see if we can get rid of asthma too...
There are plants that have a very short pollen cycle, like the olive tree, and others that never end, like the pellitory.
