My name is Silvia and I want to share the experience we had with Lepidium Latifolium. Three years ago my husband had his first kidney stone attack. I have been using the unciana plant for many years and seeing the effect on the people I give it to.

I am currently 54 years old (2012) and I have been following natural medicine for nearly 30 years. I have used the unciana plant on wounds. By chance, during one of my annual follow-up tests at work, I was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection. It is true that I had not been feeling very well lately, because I was very physically tired... I didn't have any pain, but I was not well...

My name is Sílvia and I want to explain the experience we have had with the Lepidium latifoliumAbout three years ago my husband had his first attack of kidney stones. It took him more than ten days to expel the stones and the family doctor only gave him antispasmodics and painkillers. He managed to expel them by applying electroacupuncture on the kidney meridian and by using foot reflexology that I did myself (I have a reflexology degree). Shortly after, while searching for information on other plants, we found out about Lepidium latifolium through the Dulce Revolución association and we went to look for him. So when he started to feel pain and the next stone attack was starting, he went directly to the plant - which is in the yard in a pot -, cleaned a leaf and chewed it very slowly. He drank a little water because the taste is very spicy. After a while his urine became quite dark and the pain disappeared.

She has since found herself in the same situation four or five more times, but she always does the same thing: When she starts to have kidney or urinary tract problems, she takes a leaf from the plant and chews it slowly. It has always worked and she has not had any more attacks. On some occasions when the problem has not completely disappeared, she takes the plant a second time and, after a few hours, it disappears completely. The size of the leaf is about 8 x 4 cm (not counting the tail, which is also eaten), and if the leaves on the plant are larger, she breaks them up and leaves the other half in the refrigerator in case she needs a second intake. To reduce the spicy taste, she generally accompanies it with water or cold herbal tea. Stevia.

I also want to tell you that last July my dog ​​got a pretty serious urinary tract infection. When we noticed he was peeing a little blood. I started giving him an infusion prepared with a glass of water and a fresh leaf of lepidium (also 8x4cm approx.) and half a teaspoon of Horse tail and a half of Thyme (both dried). He is a dog who is used to eating everything (we don't give him feed) and he has no problem drinking it. I gave him the infusion (already cooled) on an empty stomach in the morning for 4 or 5 days, just once. He drank as much as he wanted. At first he drank it all, and the last two days he didn't finish it. When we brought him to the vet to make sure he was fine, the infection had disappeared.

In November my husband was admitted for 3 days, he had a urinary tract infection caused by a kidney stone. They told him that he had to have surgery as soon as possible, although in another hospital they gave him the option of lithotripsy. Coincidentally, I received information about Josep Pamies, I saw that there were plants for kidney stones and searching on the Internet for everything I could, I found the lepidium.

I started giving him a large leaf in 2 or 3 glasses of water, like an infusion. I would boil the water and add the leaf, broken into pieces by hand, and let it cool. I would do this in the afternoon and soak the leaves in the water all night. The next day I would strain it and drink the first glass before breakfast and the rest throughout the day. This went on for thirteen days. It hurt from time to time, but it was bearable. After thirteen consecutive days he expelled blood (9 mm). That was in the morning and he was expelling blood for 12 hours, but since he didn't have a fever we didn't give it any importance, and he didn't have a clear idea!

If the leaves are not big, I think 2 or 3 small ones would be enough, but cut by hand.
